Container Store, Follett Higher Education partner to open pop-up shops on campus

The Container Store is going to college as it continues to target younger consumers.

The specialty retailer of organizing solutions has teamed up with Follett Higher Education, the largest campus retailer in North America, to open pop-ups across 36 Follett college campus bookstores. The shops, which are located at major universities  (listed at end of article), carry select products from The Container Store,  including storage bins and organizers, multi-purpose 3-tier carts, cleaning and laundry essentials, table lamps, cordless vacuums, and other items to meet campus living needs.

"Our innovative partnership with The Container Store helps us expand on our mission to inspire, enable, and celebrate the academic journey by ensuring students have the dorm essentials they need to feel prepared,said Jeremy Bare, chief merchant, Follett Higher Education, which has more than 1,000 physical and eCommerce collegiate retail stores across North America.”

This is The Container Store’s second partnership aimed at college students. In June, the retailer announced a partnership with online dorm décor retailer Dormify to open 40 college-themed shop-in-shops at Container Store locations.
